On 14th August, students and teachers at Bridge International School celebrated the Independence Days of both India and Korea – both of which are observed on the 15th of August every year. The programme started with a set of performances by students from LKG to Class VI, spanning across speeches, poems, songs and dances in Bengali, Hindi, English and Korean. Two thought provoking skits titled “Dreams of India” and “True Freedom” were staged by the students of Classes VI, VII, VIII and IX. The highlight of the day was the Freedom Fashion Show presented by the students of Classes IX, X, XI and XII. The event concluded with a couple of performances by the teachers, which was followed by singing the National Anthems of the two nations. Once again, the school took the opportunity to remember all those who laid their lives down in the struggle for freedom and to look ahead to a bigger and brighter future.
